Bokura no Eureka – NMB48

Again I have nothing to do at work and have time to deliver this masterpiece to you all.
This time it’s NMB’s Bokura no Eureka.

Bokura no Eureka is NMB’s 7th single and was released on the 19th of june in 2013.

And this song is my favourite summer song. First I really love NMB and second not only is the MV awesome but also the song itself.

Well, the song starts with a guitar-laden intro -which I really like- and also strings before getting to the verse. One of the factors I really like about NMB is the vocal arrangement of the verses. Instead of letting a lot members sing certain verses NMB focuses on 1-3 members at a time. The resulting effect is that you can clearly hear certain members‘ voices and the individual timbre and charm of the different girls.
Furthermore during the verses the instruments‘ volume is decreased, so as to let the vocals shine even more.

But now to the music video.

Well, since this is NMB’s summer single we all expect the typical swimsuit/bikini MV.
BUT luckily it’s a MV with real clothes like skirts and shirts –as a girl it feels quite akward to watch other bikini clad girls dancing around! And also no dance scenes -with bikinis.
This music video is one long -about 9 minutes long- story scene but with a quite good plot.

 And since it’s from 2013 the theme is a kind of apocalypse. Meaning NMB’s Senbatsu member stranding on a desserted island and have to find a way back to Osaka.

But more of that later.
On to the actual MV….

It starts with the members laying on the beach, shipwrecked like it seems…

Milky: „Where the hell am I?“

Well, isn’t it a bit late for nap time?

Sayanee: „Please 5 more minutes!“

Sayanee: „Okay, I’m awake now!“

I really love the setting and finally their clothes are dirty.
Now it fits the whole scenario.

Airi looks so epic in the background.
And those headpieces are really interesting althoough wonder how they made them.

While Lemon and Fuuko are gatherers.

I really miss Maachun in NMB

Keichi: „I don’t want to play shipwrecked anymore!“

Maachun: „But Keichi, this isn’t a game!“

Shuu: „Quick follow us! The baba’s are gonna fight each other.“

Miru: „Now where is the fight?“

Milky: „Fighting is NG!“

Nana: „The fuck Miru? It’s just Sayanee.“

Milky: „Since when are we playing GoT. I thaught we are shipwrecked.“

Nana: „Found anything Lord Commander?“

Sayanee: „Nope.“

Milky: „For real?“

Milky: „Okay let’s start with the scary stories.“

Shuu: „Not again! This is boring!“

Milky: „Okay, has someone an other idea?“

Nana: „What about thinking of a plan to get us away from this Goat Island?“

Milky: „Good Idea. 10 points for Hufflepuff.“

Maachun: „Why this Harry Potter reference all of a sudden?“

Miorin: „I want to be in house Lemon!

Akari: „Yosh!! Let’s build a raft.“

Miorin: „Yeah, with a lot of Lemons.“

Sayanee: „We will talk about that Lemon part again…“

Sayanee: „…But it’s a good idea. Let’s do this“

„Ooooosu!“

But wait. Isn’t that Kaneko-san? NMB’s Theatre-manager?

So there might still be hope….

 I would love it if they would make a continuation of that.
Or better make a movie out of it!

Well, that was NMB48’s Bokura no Eureka and like I already said this is my favourite summer song.

Furthermore this is also one of my favourite summer single MV. This video is just so awesome. And I’m really glad that they made this MV for NMB’s summer single since I really prefer MV’s with plots over the bikini MV’s.

But everyone don’t worry the DVD come with a Bikini ver.

The MVs setting is really awesome since it has this shipwrecked/apocalypse feeling to it which is something different then the normal 48group summer singles.
